UAVA, or United Against Violence and Abuse, was the name of the specialist domestic and sexual violence consortium serving Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Official information from Freeva explains that since 1 April 2022 the UAVA consortium no longer directly delivers the commissioned services, but the existing freephone helpline number remains the main route into local domestic and sexual violence support. In practice, this means people who still recognise the UAVA name can continue to use the same helpline to reach support. This can be especially helpful when someone has been given older information or has heard about UAVA from a professional, friend or leaflet.
