About this service
Samaritans offers free, confidential listening for anyone who is finding life difficult, whatever the reason and whatever the time. Volunteers do not judge, do not tell you what to do, and will stay on the line for as long as you need. You do not have to be suicidal to call, and many people ring because they simply have no one else to talk to at that moment. The service is available every day of the year, including Christmas Day.
