About this service
Rutland Supported Internships are designed to bridge the gap between education and employment for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This program provides a structured study program based primarily with an employer, allowing interns to gain real-world work experience while being supported by a dedicated job coach. The goal is to build professional skills, boost self-confidence, and ultimately help the young person secure a paid job. It is a fantastic opportunity for eligible young people to prove their abilities in the workplace and take a significant step toward independence and a fulfilling career path in a supportive environment.
