About this service
The Rutland Disabled Youth Forum (RDYF) is an inspiring and energetic group for young people aged 13 to 25 who want to make a real impact on their local community. Meeting monthly in Oakham, the forum provides a platform for young people with various disabilities to share their voices and influence how local services and facilities are run. It’s not just about advocacy, though; it’s also a fantastic social opportunity where members can hang out, enjoy pizza, and build lasting friendships. By participating, young people gain confidence, develop leadership skills, and see first-hand how their feedback can lead to positive changes in accessibility across Rutland. It is a space where disability is seen as just one part of a person's identity, and where everyone’s unique contribution is valued and empowered to make a difference.
