Looking after someone else’s mental health can be exhausting. You deserve support and understanding too.

About this service

Mental-health carers’ drop-in takes place at the Riverside Centre in Newport every Friday from 10am to noon. It offers unpaid carers a regular place to talk, feel heard, and connect with support while caring for someone with mental-health needs. The drop-in can help reduce isolation, provide encouragement, and create space for carers to share the emotional pressures that can come with supporting someone else.

How they can help you

The drop-in helps carers feel supported, less isolated, and more able to talk about the pressures of caring in a safe setting.

What to expect

Expect an informal weekly drop-in where you can talk, listen, and be around others who understand your experience.

Who it's for

Unpaid carers supporting someone with mental-health needs on the Isle of Wight.
