Barnet Council's libraries run a wide and varied programme of free activities throughout the year for all ages and needs. Regular activities include: Rhyme Times (interactive singing and storytelling sessions for babies and toddlers with their carers); Lego Clubs for children; Board Games sessions for all ages; Conversation Cafés (relaxed social English conversation groups); IT support and digital skills classes; and guided health walks in partnership with other organisations. Libraries also run events linked to national campaigns such as the National Year of Reading. Activities and times vary by library branch.
