Antrim and Newtownabbey Community Fridge Network

About this service

The Antrim and Newtownabbey Community Fridge Network connects community fridges and larders across the borough. The council describes these as shared, non-judgemental spaces that reduce food waste while helping ease food poverty. Food that would otherwise be wasted is redistributed to anyone who wishes to benefit from it, and the service is not means-tested. Because different fridge sites open on different days and times, the network can help people find a nearby place to collect safe food items and stay connected to wider community support at the same time.
