Sunday Chess Club
A friendly weekly chess session for players who want to play, learn, and meet others.
Sunday Chess Club offers a friendly, welcoming space for families. Taking that first step to join in can feel daunting, but a warm welcome often makes all the difference.
About this event
The Sunday Chess Club offers a quiet, friendly corner in the library to enjoy a game or pick up some new skills. It feels like a relaxed afternoon spent with neighbours, where you can simply pull up a chair to practise your moves or share a conversation over the board. Westminster Libraries and Archives provide a calm space that makes it easy to settle in at your own pace.
Whether you have been playing for years or are just curious to start, you will feel at home here. It is open to older children, teens, and adults who enjoy a thoughtful game. You are more than welcome to come along and see what it is like.
