The Silver Line Helpline, run by Age UK, is a free and confidential telephone service offering friendship, conversation and support to older people across the UK, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is especially helpful for people experiencing loneliness, isolation or worry, or for those who simply need someone kind to talk to at any hour. For many people, the ability to call at any time without needing an appointment can make a real difference on difficult days or long nights.
