You don't have to have a diagnosis to come along. If you've been struggling — or supporting someone who has — you're welcome here. It's a friendly group run by people who care.

About this service

The Peer Support Group (PSG) Youth Club is run by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Youth Service. It's open to young people aged 11–19 (up to 25 for those with SEN) who have been affected by mental health — either their own or someone close to them. You don't need a diagnosis; the group welcomes anyone dealing with stress, anxiety, low mood, sadness, depression, exam stress, relationship worries or similar. Facilitated by youth workers, PSG aims to build resilience, improve physical and emotional wellbeing, and help young people better understand their own emotions. The group runs workshops on topics like wellbeing, sexual health, relationships, healthy eating, cooking, and drugs and alcohol, often with external specialists.

How they can help you

Peer support sessions, wellbeing workshops, guest specialist facilitators, a safe space to talk and connect with others who understand. Topics include mental health, relationships, healthy eating, sexual health, and more.

What to expect
