Being shown how to fix something yourself is quietly confidence-building, and cheaper than replacing it.

About this service

The Bognor Regis Repair Café runs on the first Saturday of each month at the Makerspace on Longford Road, where volunteer experts help visitors repair electrical appliances, textiles, clocks, furniture and tools rather than throwing them away. Bringing an item costs nothing beyond a donation, and half the value is in learning how the repair is done so you can do it yourself next time. It is a sociable morning, and it keeps useful things out of landfill.

How they can help you

Fixes broken household items for free and teaches people how to repair them.

What to expect

Turn up between 10am and 1pm on the first Saturday with your item, and a volunteer will look at it while you wait.

Who it's for

Anyone in Bognor Regis with a broken item they would rather repair than replace.
