A free weekly 5k community event every Saturday morning at Markeaton Park.
Markeaton parkrun offers an inclusive, understanding space. It is okay to take part in whatever way feels comfortable, and you are welcome just as you are.
About this event
Markeaton parkrun is a relaxed way to move your body through the park each week. It is a free 5k event where the focus is entirely on being part of a local community. You will find people walking, jogging or running at their own speed, surrounded by the fresh air and greenery of the park. It is a gentle space where you can simply be yourself among friendly faces.
Whether you are a family with children, a regular runner or just starting out, you are very welcome here. It is a lovely way to feel connected to those around you.
